***DISCLAIMER*** I started these sites without any savings, loans or funding - I only had a computer, limited software and a internet connection - I contribute personal income to my HIV/AIDS network from my monthly disability check (all contributed money goes to better my sites). I am just a single HIV+ individual (male aged 29) living on disability (I get this for open heart surgery I had done, HIV infection and needing a pace maker) who is trying to spread HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention to my fellow humans, while also giving free support and meeting services (chat, pen pals, etc) for those who already know they are infected (improving their quality of life). I have never accepted any donations from HIV positive individuals either! I also do not charge for my online services which are costly to run. I do it out the goodness of my heart (60+ hours a week work involved with my sites that I do as volunteer work). Even though I may not have money to: have a car, rent my own apartment, have my own phone line, have a full fridge, etc; I will make sure I have enough to keep my web server going!
